About Oempf
Oempf is an interior design studio driven by a passion for design, art and interior design. As a studio, Oempf stands for spaces that make sense. Spaces where layout, functionality, atmosphere and personality merge into a surprising whole. Interiors that fit seamlessly with the wishes of the client. And where there is always room for a little playfulness, because that is what makes a space different from all the others. Whether it is a home, a business space or catering. Oempf likes to think along and relieves you in the process.
About Julie
My interest in art and design expressed itself years ago in choosing to study "Design Cultures" at the Free University of Amsterdam. Once graduated as a design historian - and earlier as a marketing communications specialist - I fully immersed myself in the Dutch design world in the period that followed. First as a freelancer at various Dutch museums and design studios. Then at Dutch Design Foundation, the organization behind Dutch Design Week.
Being surrounded by designers for years has resulted in a wide network of (inter)national design talent. It also prompted me to delve further into the world of interior design. Two courses at the Dutch Interior Academy followed; interior styling and interior architecture. The eventual founding of Oempf allowed everything to come together.
